AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY ACTIVITIES

From Seafarers’ rooftop to the Ports of Auckland, there’s something for everyone across the next few days.

The “SeePort Festival” is running over January 29-30 at Captain Cook Wharf, across from Britomart on the waterfront.

There will be loads of activity happening down on the wharf including a free concert on the Sunday evening with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra and a spectacular fireworks finale out in the harbor. Over Auckland Anniversary weekend, Ports of Auckland invites you behind the iconic red fence to discover your port – Captain Cook Wharf will be transformed into a bustling summer carnival with family-friendly rides, tours and day-long entertainment on and off the water.

There’ll be in-air helicopter displays, the chance for a lucky few to experience the port from the heights of a crane and the Royal New Zealand Navy’s inshore patrol vessel, HMNZS Taupo, Open Days. The festival will kick off with an official opening at 10am on the Sunday morning, following the gates opening at 9am… best of all it’s mostly free! See a full schedule of events at www.seeport.co.nz

And… to really do it all with class, we suggest heading to Seafarers.

The Seafarers rooftop opens its doors for the long weekend with the best view of the Auckland regatta.  Enjoy an afternoon of music, food and drinks, with the best views of the harbour.

Open from 11am-9pm, there’s every reason to book a table and enjoy lunch or dinner.

Summer at Seafarers is the only place to be this Auckland Anniversary.

Seats are limited, so book today.
