The countdown to plan your New Year’s Eve party is on, and once again, the hottest ticket in town is the Britomart Block Party.

This is the year to skip the bach and stay local, because Auckland City’s biggest New Year’s Eve festival is back and better than ever. The Britomart Block Party has wooed sellout crowds for four years running, and with a stellar lineup of live acts, DJs and entertainment, this year is set to bid 2017 farewell in style.

The Block Party is a truly urban festival, transforming Britomart faves like 1885, The Britomart Country Club, Racket Bar, REC, The Chamberlain, Orleans, Talulah, Mexico and more into buzzing venues for the night. For the first time ever, this year’s festival will also feature an outdoor soundstage on Galway Street, so you’ll be able to follow your favourite sounds around the neighbourhood all night long.

The multi-genre lineup has something for everyone: featuring everything from electronic and hip hop to reggae and indie rock. The epic lineup so far includes: Kings, Hollie Smith, Jupiter Project, Sola Rosa, Concord Dawn, DJ Sir-Vere, Laughton Kora, Che Fu, Lee Mvtthews, IllBaz, LatinAotearoa, TDK, Gregg Harper, Ryuzo, Spence, Imagine This, Sal Valentine, Seymore, Jarom Hall, Foreign Faderz, Atrap, Jordan Lee, and Lauren F, but more announcements will be coming soon.

Tickets are being released in waves, so you’ll want to lock yours in now to secure the early bird price of $59. Or go wild and treat yourself to a VIP pass: this golden ticket ($109 in the first wave) means you’ll be greeted with a glass of bubbles and canapés at the VIP party at Orleans from 8-10pm while queues build outside, and skip straight to the front when the shows start. You deserve it.

These tickets are moving fast, so get yours today here!
