With The Fashion Sessions inching closer we asked Zambesi to open up its archives and tell us about some special pieces from the past.

As we get closer to The Fashion Sessions brought to you by Westpac, we’re getting excited about our accompanying Guide which will tell you all about what’s on offer over an amazing four days, 29 March to 1 April. As part of the Guide, we asked Zambesi to open its archives – designer Liz Findlay picked some special pieces from the past, and her daughter Marissa photographed them.

This image is of Briar Andersen, a long time Zambesi muse, with her wee son Juno. Liz tells us about the dress: “The embroidered Athena dress was from our first Sydney Fashion Week show in 1997. The fabric came from Italy and it was the final exit of 73 outfits we styled for that show.  We were honoured to receive a standing ovation”.
