Kathryn Wilson’s delightful little pop-up boutique takes the form of a perfectly scaled shoe box, echoing the simple, crisp lines of the designer’s signature footwear packaging.

The fresh white space – with Kathryn’s own shoe design sketches on the floor – is the ideal gallery for the brilliant colours and sculptural shapes of the shoes, ranged reverently on minimalist shelving.

The store is the first to open under the Kathryn Wilson name, and carries full Kathryn Wilson collections for men and women as well as the diffusion Miss Wilson range. All styles are limited-edition runs, including some colourways exclusive to the Britomart store.

New Zealand’s top designer shoe brand

Auckland-born designer Kathryn Wilson launched her dream of a New Zealand footwear brand in 2003 at the age of just 22, after winning an AMP Scholarship in 2002.

Today she is New Zealand’s most successful shoe designer, with boutique production houses in Italy, Spain, Portugal and China supplying 75 retailers across New Zealand and Australia. Her high-fashion designs and quality materials have earned her a dedicated fashion following both locally and overseas.

Kathryn’s talent, innovation and business flair saw her named as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2011.
