L’Assiette’s latest lineup of treats has arrived and suddenly the term ‘shredding for summer’ is no longer part of our vocabulary.

The precinct’s firm French favourite, L’Asseitte is now serving up a selection of magnifique treats that are sure to bring out the inner Francophile in us all. Try anything from this cabinet of chic between 7am-3pm Monday to Friday and you’ll receive a coffee for $2 – now that’s très bon.

In case you needed some food for thought or a thought for food (it is nearing lunch time after all) – here’s our favourites of the bunch below.

Paris-Brest, $6

A very fancy version of a cream doughnut, we imagine it would have been Marie Antoinette’s go-to.

Chocolate eclair, $5

Delicious, thin and light as a feather, it’s easy to convince yourself to order two of these.

Lemon Tart, $6

Tart in more way than one – lemon lovers needn’t go for far for their next citrus fix.

Black Forest Cheesecake, $6

The ultimate indulgent treat. Why? Because it’s got the 3Cs – cherries, cream and chocolate (lots of it).

Strawberry Tart, $6

This looks almost too good to eat (almost…). Our tip is to Instagram it before it goes in down your gob.
