Antique lattice designs, simple, linear shapes and modern re-imaginings of traditional Japanese motifs pay tribute to the cult label and its country of origin.

Sports performance and design

Onitsuka Tiger traces its history back to 1949, when the company’s founder and namesake created his first basketball shoe. This was quickly followed by a running shoe, which found fame in the 1950s as the first racing shoe to be worn by legendary barefoot Ethiopian runner Abebe Bikila.

At the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, Onitsuka’s Mexico 66 tiger-stripe design became an instant classic, forming a key part of the vintage collection to this day.

Today part of the ASICS brand, Onitsuka Tiger continues to inspire a new generation of athletes and collectors with its commitment to performance and design.
