Fortune favours the brave – and brave they are at Ostro, never ones to rest. This week the iconic restaurant has done something you may have thought impossible: after four years of phenomenal success and service, they just got better.
The space has been redefined thanks to Paul Izzard, with booths that now bring the view to the front and centre. The elongated forest green leather couch frames the dining room facing the water – and now, every seat in the venue has a prime position.
Head Chef Josh Emett has created a winter-friendly menu with Executive Chef Cobus Klopper that “takes in the view” and harnesses the spirit of the establishment’s story of providence. Some of the stand-out dishes include the snapper, prawn & lobster pie and the Beef Wellington. Visitors should be prepared for a new look, a new menu and a new experience, but these changes are only the beginning: over the next few weeks Ostro will launch a modern high tea, a Dinner and Show experience and weekend roasts.
