He may just be New Zealand’s only Skin Concierge. We get to know the sassy and knowledgeable Chris from The Face Place.
Name: Christopher Mitchell
What do you do? Skin Concierge at The Face Place, my role is to meet and greet our clients and welcome them to the clinic. I help provide education around the skin care ranges we stock and offer advice on our mineral makeup range, Jane Iredale, and generally ensure that all of our clients have a positive experience at the clinic.
If you could give your 13-year-old self one piece of advice, what would it be? Don’t let your fear stop you from doing the things you want. It’s easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission and just buy the shoes!!!!
How do you procrastinate? I am brilliant at active avoidance – doing everything but the thing I should be doing.
If you were on death row, what would your last meal be? Duck Confit, creamed garlic spinach, candied yams and minted peas, and for dessert, a self-saucing butterscotch pudding that my nana used to make on a Sunday.
Which Spice Girl are you? With my hair, it could only be Scary Spice!!
Favorite Britomart spot? WORLD on Tyler Street or chilling on a beanbag at Takutai Square on a sunny day.
In 10 years you’ll find me… living in the country with a pack of rescue dogs.
We also asked Chris to tell us more about the amazing Jane Iredale products that are stocked at The Face Place.
Chris says, “We use Jane Iredale Mineral Makeup, because it’s good for the skin, it’s as simple as that! It’s multi-functional; the bases can be used as a foundation, concealer or sunscreen and they have skin health benefits – making it one of the few brands that’s actually good for your complexion.
You can achieve a ‘high fashion’ contoured look, or a natural understated day look with minimal effort and product use.
You have options (we all like options) as there is a product for every skin type, concern and condition. You can use these products with confidence as they have been safety tested, allergy tested and dermatologist tested to ensure avoidance of any ingredients that may be a skin irritator or sensitizer. All Jane Iredale products are animal friendly and are also, where possible, eco certified.”
Chris is available for education and application of all Jane Iredale make up at The Face Place. Pop in to The Face Place to get the Chris experience first-hand.
