Gluten free, wheat free, refined sugar free, dairy free, raw and organic. We don’t know how they do it, but Little Bird’s new juices and smoothies are ridiculously good – and good for us.

We stopped into Little Bird’s brand-new takeaway spot on Customs Street East to put their juices and smoothies to the taste test.

Carrots, Tangelo, Tumeric, Lemon, Goji.

Good for a morning dose of cell protecting antioxidants. This enlivening drink is brimming with beta carotene and curcumin – the most powerful antioxidant known.

Our verdict: A great substitute for regular ol’ orange juice at breakfast. Fruity and refreshing with a bit of a zing.

Cucumber, Spinach, Fresh Coconut Water, Lemon, Ginger, Spirulina.

Good for alkalising and cleansing your cells. Cucumber and fresh coconut make this an incredibly hydrating and thirst-quenching juice.

Our verdict: The ultimate detox hit for when you’re feeling a bit under the weather and in need of a boost.

Coconut Water, Kefir, Lemon, Lime, Kaffir Lime, Lemongrass, Birch Xylitol.

Good for alkalising and a healthy gut. Kefir is a living probiotic drink that can help good bacteria flourish – good for almost everything in your body.

Our verdict: A good alternative to Kombucha to get your stomach smiling. It’s quite tart so a nice drink to start the day rather than finish it.

Fresh Almond Milk, Cacao, Carob, Cordyceps, Reishi, Shilajit, Dandy Blend, Coconut Sugar, Vanilla, Salt.

Good for boosting energy and immune health. Medicinal mushrooms blended with mineral rich shilajit and energising cacao and you have yourself a magic drink.

Our verdict: The healthy version of a 3pm chocolate fix, this will get you through a tough afternoon or satisfy those cravings for a sweet treat. Definitely the winner in our eyes.
