Christmas dovetails perfectly this year with the unveiling of The Pavilions at Britomart, with beautiful new fashion and beauty stores offering you a whole extra realm of Christmas shopping inspiration.
 

Music and lights

Of course Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without fairy lights. The Pavilions by night is bright, beautiful and festive, with twinkling lights also illuminating the heritage facade along Customs Street East. The rest of Britomart is similarly dressed to impress with beautiful window displays and seasonal finery galore.

From 7 December until Christmas, singer-songwriter Rachel Dawick is serenading shoppers to get you in the holiday mood. Her unique brand of Kiwiana folk provides the perfect musical backdrop to your exploration of Britomart’s 30-plus fashion, beauty and specialty stores, packed to the proverbial rafters with gorgeous gift ideas.
 

Extended Christmas shopping hours

To make after-work Christmas shopping easier, Britomart’s stores will extend their opening hours to 7pm in the week before Christmas – 17 to 21 December – so you can squeeze in some last-minute gift-buying.

Britomart’s shops, restaurants and bars are also set to stay open right through the Christmas and New Year period. The exceptions are statutory holidays – although most shops do open on 26 December and some hold traditional Boxing Day sales.

Free giftwrapping stalls

Prettifying your presents has never been simpler with Britomart providing giftwrapping stalls at Atrium on Takutai and The Pavilions. Gorgeous giftwrapping is free with a gold coin donation to The Village Project Britomart.

The giftwrapping service is available as follows:
Friday 7 to Sunday 16 December 12pm to 6pm
Monday 17 to Friday 21 December 11am to 7pm
Saturday 22 to Monday 24 December 11am to 5pm

The giftwrapping stalls will also sell Britomart Black Gift Cards, which can be redeemed at any one of the over 60 participating shops, bars, restaurants and health and beauty services at Britomart. And you'll find Britomart's special limited-edition WORLD drink bottles – which make excellent gifts – on sale here too.

Britomart Christmas Market Day

On Saturday 15 December, Britomart is hosting the very special festive Britomart Christmas Market Day, when two of the precinct’s regular markets – the City Farmers’ Market and the Art & Design Market – will come together.

There’ll be festive seasonal produce, kids’ yoga, live music, art and design gifts and Christmas inspiration galore. The jolly man himself will also be there in all his rotund glory, so don’t miss out. Read more about Britomart Christmas Market Day

Parking at Britomart

Don’t forget there’s plenty of hassle-free parking at Britomart Car Park, on the corner of Quay Street and Britomart Place.

And for the full VIP parking experience, valet parking is available at the drop-off point on the corner of Gore and Tyler Streets, for just $15 for four hours.
