This Saturday 3 March the city will get its glad rags on for a fabulous day of shopping and fashion in the CBD.

NZ Fashion Festival event ‘Fashion in the BIG little City – Brought to You by Resene’ will be a day of in-store promos and activities at stores across the central city. Britomart’s fashion boutiques are getting in on the action with discounts, gifts with purchase and other activities – see details below.

There are also cash prizes to be won if you’re snapped ‘Best Dressed in the BIG little City’. A team of roving photographers and style spotters will be working the central city – including Britomart – between 9am and 2pm.

Prizes and fashion shows

A ‘Best Dressed’ finale event will be held at 3.30pm at Atrium on Takutai, where there’ll be a prizegiving hosted by George FM DJ Nick D. Cash prizes of $1000 will be awarded in four categories: Best Dressed Woman, Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Casual and Best Dressed Kid.

Big Little City is also running a $10,000 Ultimate Fashion Weekend for Two prize draw for those visiting stores around the central city.

Saturday 3 March is also the date of The Fashion Collection at Britomart, brought to you by Westpac, with four free catwalk shows taking place between 1pm and 8pm at Atrium on Takutai.

$5 flat rate parking deal

The Designer Garage Sale will also be on at Shed 10 on Queens Wharf, just opposite Britomart, from 11am to 5pm.

There’s a $5 flat rate parking deal at Britomart Car Park so you can park the car and forget about it all day. And to sustain you on your shopping mission, there are cafes, restaurants and bars aplenty.
