The Britomart store for natural fragrance and beauty house L’Occitane en Provence has been announced as a finalist in the 2012 Auckland Top Shop Awards.

The L’Occitane store, which opened at Atrium on Takutai in June 2011, is one of the final seven stores in the Lifestyle and Wellbeing category of the awards.

The Top Shop Awards are held every second year by the New Zealand Retailers Association and recognise excellence in retailing.

Entrants are assessed via a series of mystery shopping visits. Judging criteria focus on customer service and store presentation, including store layout, presentation of products for sale and the knowledge, availability and service of staff.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Wednesday 24 October at the Langham Hotel.
