“Elevating the world from mediocrity to greatness” is the lululemon athletica company manifesto, and true to its word the lululemon athletica Britomart Showroom is taking the next step on its journey with a new full-scale store at Britomart, set to open its doors later this month.

lululemon is moving from its current showroom space, located at Atrium on Takutai, to a new store located at The Pavilions on Te Ara Tahuhu Walking Street, also home to Yoobee, Onitsuka Tiger and Timberland. This will be the second full retail location for the yoga-inspired athletic apparel company in Auckland.

The full-scale retail store will house a wider assortment of technical apparel for men and women that is designed specifically for yoga, running and most other sweaty pursuits.

The gift of yoga

Every week, the current lululemon athletica Britomart Showroom pushes aside its products, unrolls yoga mats and turns its space into an instant yoga studio. Classes are complimentary and taken by instructors from local studios in the Britomart community.

The new store will allow lululemon to continue elevating the level of health and fitness in the Britomart and wider Auckland communities. The extra square footage will create additional space that will allow lululemon to accommodate more guests to its complimentary yoga classes as well as offer other community events and seminars.

Priding itself on the function and fit of its clothing, lululemon create components for people to live long, healthy and fun lives. Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional designs, lululemon works with yogis and athletes in local communities for continuous research and product feedback.
