Progressive dinners, where friends and families launched from one home to another sampling their hosts’ finest prawn cocktail or sherry trifle were a big hit back in the 70s and 80s.

Now some of Auckland's best restaurants are breathing new life into this concept, and taking it to a whole new level with a progressive dinner custom made for 2012. 

You can expect a night with a difference at Britomart. An all-encompassing fine dining experience where your next destination is just a few steps away. 'A World of Flavour at Britomart' will showcase the innovative and diverse food experiences on offer in this exciting precinct, with chefs given free reign in their kitchens to create a dish reflective of both them and their restaurant.

The evening will kick off at Tyler Street Garage with cocktails and canapés, before intimate groups disperse to one of the three restaurants where your flavoursome journey will begin and each course is enjoyed at a different establishment.

During the evening you will experience all three of Britomart’s finest restaurants. Look forward to a taste of Auckland’s finest Vietnamese cuisine at Cafe Hanoi as well as discovering the exciting, sophisticated culture of District Dining, where guests are invited to share plates of delicious creations. Indulge in one of the country's leading Japanese restaurants, Ebisu, which offers innovative contemporary Japanese cuisine. The night will end with all coming together at the members-only Basement Bar at 1885 Britomart, for some of Auckland's most divine cocktails.

10.00pm-Late: Night-cap & Selection of Cheeses - 1885 Britomart, Basement Bar
