Look out for collectors for this year’s Poppy Appeal on Friday.

In the lead-up to Anzac Day, volunteers for the annual RSA Poppy Appeal will be selling poppies around the Britomart precinct this Friday 20 April.

This is the Returned Services Association’s main fundraising event for the year, with the donations collected going to support current and ex-service men and women.

At Ostro and SEVEN, they’ll be offering a $4 Anzac dessert based on the classic New Zealand biscuit, with $2 from every one sold going to support the appeal. And if you want a taste of the original, Shaky Isles does an Anzac biscuit that hits just the right balance of crunchiness and chewiness.

As always on Anzac Day, Wednesday 25 April, all shops in the precinct will be closed until 1pm as a mark of respect.
