Come celebrate this prized delicacy with special dishes and events at Oaken’s Truffle Festival this month.

Two week Truffle Festival. Those could just be our four favourite words. Head to Oaken from Monday 17 – Sunday 30 July to taste a variety of regional and international truffles from Kings Truffles.

Truffle Menu

There will be a special truffle menu available during the two weeks from 12pm until late:

Truffled parmesan paprika popcorn, $8
Burrata salad, bitter leaf, apple, truffle soil, hazelnut, $22
Crostini, three mushroom and truffle salsa, percorino, $16
Truffled brie, sweet cracker, $16

Chef’s Table
The Chef’s Table provides an intimate insight into the workings of a world-class kitchen for up to eight guests. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get up close and personal with Oaken’s Executive Chef Sam Campbell and his team as they deliver a totally interactive and unforgettable first-hand dining experience.

This experience includes an Amuse-Bouche, glass of prosecco, two courses using the finest truffles from Kings Truffles and cheese from NZ Cheese.

The Truffle Festival Chef’s Tables are $70 per person and subject to availability.

– Tuesday 25 July
– Saturday 29 July

Truffle Wine Series
In association with Pegasus Bay Winery, Vineyard, and Restaurant, Oaken are providing four courses matched with four tastings of premium Pegasus Bay wines.

Courses:
Potato blini, mascarpone whipped cauliflower, truffle, chive
Melted leek, truffle & hazelnut linguine, truffle butter (truffle butter from King’s Truffle)
Duck rillettes croquette, chicken veloute, truffle
Truffle honey ice cream, truffle honey, lavender shortbread

The cost for this event is $100 per person.
