Top drops at Ebisu and The Chamberlain, new fashion collections hit stores, and win $200 of activewear at Les Mills. Let’s get moving!
Come the 3pm slump, it’s hard to resist the siren call of Miann. Row upon glistening row of rainbow-coloured gelato, bon-bons, macarons, gateaux and hand-made single-origin chocolates are enough to give even the most dedicated Paleo-dieter pause. The dessert restaurant is owned by husband-and-wife team Brian and Roselle Campbell. We chat to Roselle about apartment life, the hottest new food trend, and dogs at this link. Ebisu‘s food and wine-matching skills were recently awarded at the annual Vintner’s Brunch. Try their delicious pairings for yourself with their four-course Restaurant Month set menu, available until the end of August.
On tap now at The Chamberlain is Black Purl, a limited-edition mulled craft brew from Boundary Road Brewery. A spicy beer warmed with notes of Irish Moss, honey, orange, nutmeg and cinnamon, it’s perfect for winter.
Juliette Hogan‘s signature languid silhouettes and natural textiles seem made for summer dressing, and her new Distill collection is no exception. Featuring a hero Daydream print designed by Australian abstract artist Hannah Fox, the range already has us envisioning poolside cocktails in the sun, and long picnics in dappled shade. It’s available in Juliette’s Britomart store and online from today.
Also new out is Taylor‘s SS18 collection, The Space Between. The range’s big volumes, bright colours and bold geometrics were inspired by the architectural photography of Matthais Heiderich. In Taylor’s Britomart boutique now.
You’ll want to play a neutral lip alongside the incredible new Dazzleshadow liquid eyeshadow from M.A.C. Intense and metallic, it glides on and dries quickly to create dramatic effects. Check it out in M.A.C’s Britomart store now.
Next Wednesday 15 August from 7.30am-10.30am in Takutai Square, the Blue Frog team will be serving up steaming $5 breakfast bowls created by chef Michael Meredith using Blue Frog’s beautiful probiotic porridge and a range of scrumptious toppings. All proceeds will go to buy school lunches through the good people at Eat My Lunch. Just as good: when you buy a bag of Blue Frog porridge from New World during August, every purchase will buy a lunch for a hungry kid too.

The first shoe to drop in the new Kathryn Wilson Footwear collection is this springtastically shiny Molly Loafer ($329). The loafer is in Kathryn’s Britomart store now, with the full range arriving soon.
