The clinic manager at The Face Place Britomart medi-spa has an unexpected after-work passion.

Are you from Auckland?

Yes, born and bred! Have lived elsewhere, but love this city!

How do you get to Britomart?

Walking. I am fortunate to live in the city, so it’s a quick 20-minute stroll.

What do you do here?

I am the clinic manager of The Face Place here in Britomart, working with an amazing team.

How did you get into it

Before the dawn of time, when Dr Catherine Stone had her very first Botox clinic in Vulcan Lane, she needed admin help. I sort of just fell into it.

What was your first job?

Working in a city pharmacy running a very busy photo lab – back in the days of liquid film processing!

What’s your idea of fun?

Motor racing events – Western Springs Speedway and V8 Supercars are a passion.

What’s your favourite thing to spend money on?

Shoes! You can never have too many.

Where’s your favourite place to eat around here?

Amano; the pasta is divine.

Where’s the best place for a beverage?

XuXu Dumpling Bar or Talulah.

What’s something not many people know about you?

My passion for motor sport! I even wrote an article to commemorate 50 years of Holden in New Zealand, which has been published in a book.

How do you spend your days off?

Spending quality time with my family. My daughter is only seven and she keeps me on my toes.

Have you read, watched or listened to anything great lately?

The ‘Ford vs Ferrari' movie was a great watch. I have enjoyed binge-watching the ‘Sex and the City’ box sets: the fashion, cocktails, storylines and, of course, the shoes. A fabulous trip down Memory Lane.

What’s your favourite season of the year?

Summer – motor racing season.
