Roukai Lane is the best place to get your Irish spirit on this summer – and not just for St Patrick’s Day.

Throughout February and March, Roukai Lane is taking on a new persona as Little Ireland, with Jameson’s drink specials, live music, whiskey tasting events and delicious Irish food. Racket Bar has been transformed into the ‘Irish Boilermaker Room’ with special whiskey and beer pairings, cocktails, pickle backs and tasting boards of Jameson’s whiskey.

If you’re stopping by for a few drinks, you can play ‘Irish Bingo’, taste your way through the bar’s selection of cocktails and Boilermakers throughout the months, collect bingo stamps at the bar for a dip in their ‘pot o’ gold’. With live music throughout the month, DJs and fun with whiskey you’ll feel right at home, as long as your home is a pub in Ireland.

And if you’re settling in for an evening, you can line your stomach with a Murphy’s Burger – beef, cheese, Murphy’s BBQ sauce and onion rings – or a classic chip butty complete with bacon. For those with marginally more sophisticated tastes, there’s baked camembert, spicy chicken wings, and traditional Yorkshire pudding.

For serious whiskey-lovers (or those who’d like to be), the Boilermaker Room is hosting four whiskey-tasting sessions*, where you can get to grips with the finer notes of five Jameson’s crowd-favourite whiskeys under the guidance of one of Auckland’s finest whiskey experts.

The ticket price includes tasting five Jameson’s Whiskeys, as well as snacks throughout the tasting. The first ones are this Thursday 21 February at at 5.30 pm or 7 pm, get tickets here but if you can’t make it, the sessions repeat on March 21, you can find tickets here.
