As part of Britomart’s Fashion Sessions, last Thursday WORLD launched its first pieces in a series of unique artworks.

Do you have a bit of a chip on your shoulder about crazy fashion? The brainchild of WORLD’s Creative Director, Francis Hooper, this new series will look at how WORLD interprets and misappropriates everyday objects as art and fashion.

The first brand in the series is Doritos. Debuted at WORLD’s Fashion Sessions show, the packets of corn chips were handcrafted into shoulder bags and clutches with chains and ornate gold hoops. The possible future brands in the series are top secret at the moment but what we do know is that there is plenty more where this came from! When the final brand collaboration line up has been chosen, WORLD will exhibit the pieces and sell them at auction, for a charity of WORLD’s choice.

The last model on the catwalk at the Tyler Street show last week opened her ‘bag’ and ate her chips, to prove that models do in fact eat!
