An iconic restaurant plans a Britomart opening

Foodies rejoice! Those who hunger for perfectly pitched Spanish tapas will already know Melbourne's MoVida. The restaurant, established by chef Frank Camorra (pictured) in a graffiti-lined Melbourne laneway in 2003, has become an iconic institution across the Tasman - and we don't use the word "iconic" lightly.

The good news is that Camorra is now bringing MoVida to Britomart, into the space formerly occupied by Ostro on level two of the Seafarers Building. This isn't an out-of-the-blue move: MoVida ran a hugely successful 2016 pop-up in Auckland, and after that was over, Camorra kept talking to Savor Group about coming back. This time, they'll be bringing their delicious dishes here on a permanent basis, and celebrating the best New Zealand produce in everything they make.

MoVida's opening is expected in August 2022 - stay tuned to their website for when reservations are available to book your table.
