Just in time for Queen’s Birthday Weekend, Mexico’s overhauled their menu ready for winter feasting.

On Monday 3 June, Mexico’s new menu launches, and if you’re a regular at their tables, you’ll no doubt notice (and like) the changes.

The new-format menu includes two new sections: Mucha Carne (Lots of Meat), with four large-size dishes designed for sharing with a meat-loving mate and a Sides section, designed to add a little something extra to the table. In the Mucha Carne section, we’re eyeing up the Agave and coffee braised pork ribs with capsicum mojo, habanero chilli and agave mole, as well as the Guajillo chicken Marylands, with pineapple salsa, candied sesame seeds and coriander. There are new tacos, quesadillas, and fresh specialties including the cinnamon-braised pork Al Pastor with green apple yoghurt, and the new jackfruit El Arabe flatbread wrap for vegans.

Liquor is also taken seriously at Mexico, so they’ve also extended their beer and wine offerings, and added three new Frida’s Margaritas flavours – Blueberry & Lavender, Pineapple & Orange and Raspberry & Yuzu – and three new sodas for those who are teetotalling. There are new sangrias, and for those who truly want to settle in, the updated tequila menu now has an added mezcal section.
