We sampled Ostro’s newest dishes for you. You’re welcome.

Whether you are a once-a-year or a once-a-week Ostro goer, you need to be an Ostro goer of some sort if you are to say you have sampled the best.  Very little compares to the perfectly balanced creations that come out of this special kitchen: this week, the menu was expanded a little and we were invited to share.

The Burrata salad – compressed watermelon, heirloom tomato, strawberry, almond and tarragon – was an amazing, unusual dish and one of our favourites. The lobster ravioli was incredible, as was the pork belly (with sweetcorn) and the mouthwatering dessert – ricotta and pistachio parfait – was heavenly.

This is not a completely new menu but one that has brought a few new friends to the party while keeping the perfectly formed originals on board.

There is something about Ostro that is at once supremely classy and genuinely comfortable, a true star of the precinct that can be enjoyed at any moment: from high tea to dinner. Dream up an excuse and book now.
