A friend of Britomart is up for a very special award.
The exciting and refreshingly positive “New Zealander of the Year” awards are nearly upon us and amongst the incredible line up is Grace Georgia Stratton who has been nominated for Young New Zealander of the Year. Last year, Grace contributed to Britomart Magazine and it won’t be the last time: she is a professional, intelligent and creative person who we were very lucky to get on board!
In her own words, this is Grace on her blog gracegeorgia.co.nz:
“I believe in creating a better world, through the mediums that creativity, advocacy, and technology provide.
I’ve committed myself to doing this and this website is a journal of that. A journal of my day, a journal of my life.
I’ve got a full plate & I wouldn’t have it any other way, but that doesn’t mean that it will always be smooth sailing, if the pavement at K road is any indication, sometimes I will have bumps in the road, challenges unique to my life as a woman and as a person with Cerebral Palsy.
I want to share the challenges and successes with you, because I believe that creating a better world starts when we are honest.”
