As the Metro Peugeot Restaurant of the Year Awards draw closer, the line up of Auckland’s top 50 eateries has been released and Britomart’s Ebisu, Ortolana and Cafe Hanoi have once again made it onto the illustrious list.

Three of Britomart’s finest, inclusion in the prestigious top 50 makes the restaurants contenders in the 2016 awards and pits them against 47 other Auckland eateries for titles like: Supreme Winner, Restaurant of the Year and Chef of the Year.

Though a veteran in the competition, Cafe Hanoi’s owner Tony McGeorge is humble when discussing the restaurant’s place in the line up: “The standard of Auckland eateries is constantly improving” he says, “so we’re very happy to once again be included in the top 50.”

Up against a diverse assortment restaurants from fine dining to suburban eateries, newcomers to old faithfuls, you can see the full list of nominees that Cafe Hanoi, Ortolana and Ebisu will be taking on at Metro magazine’s website

Annually celebrating Auckland’s top restaurants, the winners will be announced at the Metro Peugeot Restaurant of the Year Awards dinner on Monday 11 April. And though we wish all contenders the best of luck, we think that between the three of them, EbisuOrtolana and Hanoi have this one in the bag.
