What’s your name and what do you do at Les Mills Britomart?
Angelo Abrogena and I’m one of the Group Fitness Instructors at Les Mills Britomart

What’s the best thing about your job?
Best thing is the Free Gym Membership haha but honestly the best part of my job is that it’s not a job it’s a lifestyle It’s something I’m passionate about and that I do my part to make the world a better and fitter place.

What’s the hardest thing about your job?
Waking up early or Panicking that I will be late and letting a whole group of people down.

What’s your definition of wellness?
My definition of wellness is when you make an honest effort to do something may it be physical or mental to better yourself, and sometimes that may include eating pizza or a burger. Trust me it makes the soul better.

Can you share a piece of advice for someone who wants to make positive change to their health/ lifestyle but doesn’t know where to start…what are the first steps?
My one piece of advice is that if you want to make a positive change in your health/lifestyle is that you need to remember that it’s a marathon and not a sprint to the end. Enjoy the journey there will be ups and downs but at the end of the day it’s not a race. Or to put it simply quoting NIKE “JUST DO IT”

Best workout music/song?
Anything Eminem, especially old school.

Can you share a podcast, app, book etc. that you have found motivating?
I love listening to Dr Eric Thomas (The Hip Hop preacher) he is so passionate about what he does. He is someone who has truly started from the bottom. Find him on YouTube.

If you weren’t in this job, what else might you be doing?
Eating, I love to eat if I couldn’t gain weight. I would love to be a competitive eater I got a big stomach.

What are your summer plans?
Will be a mix of enjoying the summer sun in NZ but also going to the Philippines for a friend’s wedding.
