Britomart is proud to host Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki | Auckland Arts Festival with live performances in Takutai Square. Bring your friends and family along and enjoy an incredible variety of free and fun events.
The city is getting even busier for Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki Auckland Arts Festival this month, with events all over town (you can check out the full programme here to choose which of them you can book tickets for). In Takutai Square, we're delighted to be hosting a series of lunchtime and evening events that are part of the festival, including circus, dance, music and more. All of them are free and unticketed, so all you need to do is turn up. Read on and mark your diaries!

Saturday 9 March – The Biggest Little Circus, 6-7pm
The Biggest Little Circus are a circus street theatre company. The performance includes everything from world-class juggling and aerial acrobatics to a human changing room. The Biggest Little Circus is guaranteed to make you laugh and gasp. Suitable for all ages, this trio of high calibre circus performers has created a family show packed full of kiwi charm and unpredictable things. Don't miss out!
Tuesday 12 March – Annette's Line Dance and Entertainment, 12.15-12.45pm & 1.15-1.45pm
Watch Annette and her team of dancers perform a sequence of steps that will make you want to join in too! Luckily for you, it's an open space where you can also learn moves and join in on the fun.
Thursday 14 March – Unitec Dance, 12.15-12.45pm & 1.15-1.45pm
Unitec Dance and alumna choreographer Jessie McCall presents INDUSTRY PARTY. The work collides the promise and problems of power – as it plays out within us and within our industries. Watch the contemporary dance work performed by Unitec dance students.
Tuesday 19 March – Latinissimo, 12.15-12.45pm & 1.15-1.45pm
Latinissimo are a Latin dance school based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Head down to Takutai Square and watch Latinissimo move with fluidity and precision. From sultry salsa to energetic samba, Latinissimo will get you up and moving along with them.
Thursday 21 March – Undergrand, 12.15-12.45pm & 1.15-1.45pm
Undergrand is a portable baby grand piano popping up all over Tāmaki. Renowned jazz pianist Mark Baynes will present a range of recitals and unforgettable experiences that will undoubtedly make your day better.
Saturday 23 March – Anuanua Dance Troupe, 5-7.30pm
The Anuanua Dance Troupe are a Cook Islands entertainment group of dancers, singers and drummers. With a demonstration of Cook Islands rhythms and culture, Anuanua Dance Troupe is sure to keep your feet tapping and your hips moving with a selection of high energy drum beats to entertain you.
